Altar Servers Wanted

h1 February 5th, 2010

Families of the Annunciation Cathedral of New England, I present to you a wonderful opportunity for your sons, grandson and nephews from the ages of 8 and up to become altar servers. This is a vital service in our Holy Orthodox Church not only to assist the priest, but also to grow closer to God by becoming more familiar with Holy Scripture and the saints, being instructed in the faith, learning more about the Divine Liturgy, just to name a few of the unique benefits gained. Other benefits include being tonsured in a special ceremony, developing friends that will last a lifetime. -Fr. Cleopas

Please call the Cathedral office for more information.

Stewartship Appeal 2010

h1 February 5th, 2010

Lets Double our Stewardship this Year!

The year has started out with exciting news for our Cathedral! Let’s work together with enthusiasm to double our Stewardship this year! We kindly ask YOU to participate in this effort. What we really want to accomplish is to reach out to as many people as possible; to notify and involve them in all the services, programs, ministries and events taken place at the Cathedral, through e-mail and letters. Let us know any of your family members and friends, who are not Stewards, in order to approach them and inform them of our goals. There is not a minimum to join – from $1 to any amount. Stewardship is definitely NOT a fund raising effort!!! If everyone can refer to us at least one person or family, we can easily exceed 1,000 members! Pick up a pledge form today at the pangari, or see Fr. Cleopas and Mr. John Georgountzos, Stewardship Chairman, with your list of names.
